Joseph Mayanja is famous for his vibrant raspy voice is one of the few East African artists who have stayed relevant for at least two decades. The Ugandan multi award winning artist, his genre of music is a combination of Ugandan folk music, central African rhumba, zouk and reggae. His career exploded in 2000 when he was signed by Kenyan label, Ogopa DJs which produced his first 5 Albums. Popularly known by his fans as Jose Chameleon.
